Enable your community spaces to be the heart of community engagement and increase your streams of revenue with ease.
Madison, WI. To further the reach of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, while helping them create new funding opportunities, Spotz is donating a lifelong subscription to their facility reservation management software and online marketplace.
Spotz, a software startup that launched in Madison in 2019, is improving public access to spaces owned by organizations (such as the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County), companies, and municipalities, by modernizing and simplifying the rental experience for renters and facility managers.
The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County will use the Spotz reservation software to manage all three of their youth centers, in addition to the soon-to-be-built McKenzie Regional Workforce Center. Not only will the Boys and Girls Club have a centralized way to internally manage the numerous program needs across all their facilities, but they'll also have a safe and controlled way to offer their buildings for community members to use.
"The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County is doing important work for our youth. But their buildings aren't always used at capacity, especially during school hours. Either the community isn't aware those spaces are available, or the process to reserve and rent them is too complicated. That's why it's a privilege to host their spaces on the Spotz platform--to increase the use of these amazing facilities, to showcase each club and their community impact, and to give the clubs the opportunity to secure funding in new ways," says James Jackson, CEO and Founder of Spotz, Inc.
Community members will be able to go online, either to the Spotz app or the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County website, to find a conference room, gym, playroom--any space--in any of the Club's locations to host their event.
Events could be anything from a book club to basketball practice to a chaperoned youth dance. Then, the Club facility director will be able to approve the reservation, communicate further steps, and immediately process donations for the use of the space.
"On behalf of Boys & Girl Clubs of Dane County, I’d like to thank Spotz for this software subscription donation that will help us meet our strategic priorities: to create more memorable experiences for thousands of young people, to ensure our sites are being fully used by those who need us the most, to diversify our financial resources, and to grow and improve our infrastructure," says Michael Johnson, President & CEO, BGCDC.
Beginning with the McKenzie Family Club in Sun Prairie, WI, every one of the club locations, including the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center, will manage their facility reservations using Spotz.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County is a local non-profit youth development organization serving thousands of youths in eleven locations, including eight school-based sites and three traditional Club sites. The Clubs fuel kids with the inspiration to dream and teach them the skills to achieve when they are most impressionable through quality programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
